Secure Your Load Day and CVSA International Roadcheck
On Tuesday, state transportation safety officials and trucking industry representatives gathered at the Nisqually scale on I-5 north to kick off June 6 as “Secure Your Load Day.” The Washington State Patrol reports that debris on Washington roadways cause approximately 400 collisions every year. Unsecured loads account for 40% of litter on local highways.

The 45-year-old truck driver had worked for the multi-state potato harvesting and transport company for about four months. He had received training on how to load and tie town this kind of equipment when he was hired.
